ISES is pleased to invite you to participate in our new webinar series,
providing critical information on technology developments and trends.

The first webinar is titled: "Solar Thermal Electricity: The Accelerated
Pathway from Operational Experience of Early Commercial Plants to Market
Implementation of Advanced Technologies".

Join us for this free webinar on Sep 04, 2012 at 4:00-5:30 PM CEST
(2:00-3:30 PM GMT).

Register now at this link:

Please register early, space is limited!

Solar Thermal Electricity or STE (also known as CSP or Concentrating
Solar Power) is rapidly growing with many commercial projects underway
or planned in Spain, USA and other countries such as India, China, South
Africa, Australia, the Middle East, Algeria and Italy. In terms of
electric grid and quality of bulk power supply combined with the ability
for thermal storage, which can provide dispatch on demand, STE stands
out from other renewable energy technologies like PV or wind. However,
until now, the learning curve and operational experience of STE plants
is rather limited since new commercial plants have only been deployed
since 2007. How to speed up the cost reduction curve and solve the
current limitations in terms of efficiency, working temperature and
water consumption are among the key issues to be addressed by the
technology in the forthcoming years.

Moderator: Dr. Manuel Romero, ISES Vice President for Science &
Technology, Deputy Director of IMDEA Energy in Madrid, Spain.

Speakers:
- Luis Crespo, President of the European Solar Thermal Electricity
Association (ESTELA) and Secretary General of Protermosolar, the
Spanish Association of Solar Thermal Power Industry
- Gonzalo Azcárraga, GEMASOLAR Plant Manager, Torresol Energy
Investments
- Jose Manuel Nieto, New Markets Director, Thermoelectric BD, Acciona
Energy.

Speakers will provide first-hand information on the operational
experience of the early commercial projects, like the effectiveness of
molten salt storage with solar plants and performance of parabolic
through plants in Spain, and the expected innovations to be implemented
in forthcoming plants.

After the presentations, a Q&A session with the audience will allow you
to present your questions to the speakers.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing
information about joining the webinar.

View System Requirements here.

With sunny regards,
Jennifer McIntosh
